I have 3 fittings in my Fjord 24 that I plan to change this winter. Believe its the originals.
As I understand, its recommended to use a composite or bronze fitting, like this one:

But how easy is it to remove the old fitting and install a new one? Is this a "do it yourself task", or should I call a pro?
Any guide or tips would be appreciated.
Thanks
Thomas

Hei Thomas,
If you have an angle grinder and a large spanner you can do it yourself and an assistant will make it easier.

As they say in the video, just tighten the nut quite light with your fingers first and when the sealer is hardened you can tighten with a spanner.

Thanks,
I also have one of these in my boat. Do you know what it is?

Yes it's a transducer for the echo sounder or at least a bracket for the transducer with a "dummy"
It may have been a sensor for a speedometer as well.
